Carton Packer Developed for Improved Efficiency

CHARLOTTE, NC - Roberts PolyPro, an innovative leader in packaging and converting solutions, will be exhibiting a new high-speed Carton Packer at the CMM show April 23-26, 2001 at Chicago's McCormick Place, Booth 13011. This Carton Packer features fast and easy setup, to improve folder gluer efficiency and productivity.
The Roberts PolyPro Model 9801 Carton Packer is comprised of two main modules. The Carton Count and Feed Module divides the shingled, folded and glued carton blanks into the proper count and presents them for loading into the shipping case. The Case Handling Module performs all handling of pre-erected shipping cases with single or double rows of cartons.
Simple in design, the 9801 has short setup times and adjusts to accommodate a broad range of carton sizes. Case dimensions and carton counts can be stored in the Operator Interface and recalled for automated setup.
When combined with an Automatic Case Erector, carton packing and case handling can be fully automated to improve overall productivity and finishing line efficiency. And the Roberts Carton Packer requires no attendant when integrated with Automatic Case Erector.
The Carton Packer runs up to eight cases per minute, allowing for higher finishing speeds and automatically adjusts to the speed of the gluer. Slow, gentle handling of cartons reduces the possibility of damage and the carton loading method allows for a higher carton count per case.
The Roberts PolyPro Model 9801 Carton Packer is part of Roberts' FinishLine System of converting machinery, engineered to dramatically increase throughput with less labor and maintenance and increased operator safety.
