New Paper-Handle Applicator Offers a Host of Advantages to Paperboard Converters

CHARLOTTE, NC - Roberts PolyPro, a division of Pro Mach and a leader in making consumer packages easier to carry, pour, and use, introduced today a next generation paper-handle applicator for paperboard packaging that cost-effectively delivers speed, reliability, and accuracy.
This new applicator applies the entire Roberts PolyPro line of paper handles at speeds of up to 200 cartons per minute with an accuracy of +/- .06 inches (1.5 mm). It mounts next to any folder gluer and offers design features that make cleaning, adjustment, and set-up easy. Furthermore, quick access for operators to key components, such as the applicator's Nordson four-gun glue system and its transport conveyor, ensures optimum uptime.
Roberts PolyPro manufactures its own paper handles which offer a maximum pull strength rating of over 150 pounds (68 kilos), which leads the industry. These handles are suitable for most types and sizes of paperboard packaging from ice cream tubs to boxes holding such dust-prone products as cat litter, pet food, powdered detergent, and lawn chemicals. Roberts PolyPro handles come in three sizes - 6.5, 7.5, and 8.5 inches long (16.5, 19.1, and 21.6 cm) and are offered with standard or reinforced structures.
