CHARLOTTE, NC - Roberts PolyPro Inc., an innovative leader in multi-packing solutions for the beverage industry, is pleased to announce the completion of a new plastic sheet production line to meet the growing demand for their EasyLift Bottle Carrier products.
"This new sheet line provides us with the capacity to support our customers' increasing demand for our bottle carrier products," says Allan Sutherland, President. "We can now run more parts and get them out the door faster by having this line dedicated to our multipack carriers."
Planning for the new sheet line began in early 2004 and the decision was made to build the new production line in-house. "There were two main factors in our decision," explained Donnie Johnson, Plastics Manufacturing Manager, "the first was the cost associated with purchasing a turnkey job and the second was the lead time associated with a project of this size. These reasons combined with the fact that we've been a specialty machinery manufacturer for over 20 years made the decision an obvious one: buy individual components and then marry them into one complete line. We saved a lot of time and a lot of money this way." From concept to commissioning the entire project took less than 9 months and the line officially started producing parts in mid-November 2004.
