CHARLOTTE, NC - Roberts PolyPro, an innovative leader in packaging and converting solutions, is exhibiting their new Recyclable Edge Protectors at Pack Expo Las Vegas, Booth 3435.
Each durable, light-weight Edge Protector is designed guard products in transit. They act as a shield at corners of packaging held together by strapping, ending strap burns and abrasions. Pre-scored fold lines and pop-out tabs keep straps secure and make the plastic edge protectors easy to apply.
"Our edge protectors are designed to make sure products arrive in as good a shape as they were when they left the factory floor," says Allan Sutherland, president of Roberts PolyPro. "Candidates for our edge protectors include shipments of lumber supplies, corrugated cartons or box board, or metal bundles, just to name a few."
Roberts PolyPro Edge Protectors are easily recycled to reduce waste. Because they are made of plastic, the edge protectors do not absorb moisture like paperboard protectors. Even if used on treated lumber, the edge protectors can be run through a water bath and recycled.
Design of the edge protectors, along with their consistent size and thickness, permits automatic dispensing. Roberts PolyPro also makes a Lumber Edge Protector Applicator that is designed to mount on existing strappers. Working at a rate of five applications per minute, the Lumber Edge Protector automatically dispenses and positions Roberts PolyPro Edge Protectors for strapping to stacks of lumber.
