The Roberts PolyPro SuperGluer Folder Gluer is a unique gluer that offers exceptional line speeds, fast setup, extraordinary operator safety and ease of maintenance.

It is a revolutionary machine that can perform consistently at very high speeds with much less maintenance and downtime than conventional folder gluers. Cartons are secured and controlled throughout the folding and gluing sections by an innovative, low pressure, vacuum system. This vacuum bed eliminates the overhead carrier belt and all its inherent disadvantages and reduces moving parts by approximately 80%. The vacuum carrier also offers significant safety benefits to your operator.

Motorized adjustments, digital controls and a clever tooling bar make setup simple and extremely fast. The SuperGluer folder gluer is modular and is readily adaptable to practically any application. The Roberts PolyPro Triple Compression Module can also be mounted at the SuperGluer exit to apply adequate pressure on carton blanks to evenly set the adhesive and complete the cartons before the casing operation.

Vacuum Carrier System - The bulky top carrier of conventional folder gluers has been eliminated in our innovative design. In its place is a vacuum carrier system that is easier to operate, faster and more efficient than any folder gluer available. The vacuum bed holds blanks securely to provide a precise folding position.

Higher Sustained Speeds - With the added assistance of low pressure vacuum, and without the friction and drag of top carrier belts and ball bearings, the SuperGluer folder gluer is designed to mechanically run at over 2,300 ft/min. Average running speeds will depend upon job application.

The Safest Folder Gluer Available - Without the overhead carrier belts found on conventional gluers, there are no dangerous in-running nip points. With safer machine operation you will more readily satisfy OSHA demands without restrictive guarding.

Faster/Easier Make-Ready - With motorized adjustments, PLC controls, tooling bars and fewer parts, changeovers take far less time than other folder gluers. The vacuum bed eliminates the traditional "trombone" and requires a minimal setup. With its positive start-up, the SuperGluer folder gluer also cuts carton waste.

Because the upper carriers and rollers have been eliminated, there is less pressure and friction and belt life increases dramatically. Modular Design For Flexibility - Every module is independent and connected by an electronic line shaft. Consequently, additional folding units and optional equipment are easily added or deleted.

Eliminates Scuffing and Crushed Board - Transferred by vacuum instead of hard rubber top belts, cartons escape the scuffing and crushing normally associated with conventional folder gluers.

The "Zero Defect System" - The SuperGluer folder gluer has intrinsic control logic that removes the operator from the process of starting and stopping the system. Unique to the industry, our electronic line shafting allows the machine to operate in true modular fashion. Omnipotent control of all system functions means the SuperGluer folder gluer makes a good first and last carton. The "Zero Defect System" is designed to eliminate many of the current sources of carton defects in the following ways:

The SuperGluer folder gluer is programmed to automatically clear off cartons (via an optional carton ejector) during machine starts to eliminate the potential for misglued cartons.
During programmed stops, the shingle thickness decreases gradually and the compression module continues operation, ensuring that all cartons are properly compressed. This eliminates the need for operator intervention during stops and starts.
In the event of a jam, downstream modules will continue to carry cartons to the compression module which will operate as described above. This eliminates the need for inspection for properly compressed cartons and reduces carton spoilage.
During programmed stops and jams, the shingled stream of cartons coming out of the compression module is automatically recombined without operator intervention in the optional.
