The Roberts PolyPro Paper Pop-Up Handle Applicator automatically applies Pop-Up handles to carton blanks using hot-melt adhesive. It places our paper handles (formerly known as the Wilton handle) on your cartons with incredible speed and accuracy and is designed to seamlessly integrate to your existing folder/gluer. The system can also switch on for handle dispensing or off when not needed. Normally installed just after the prebreak section of your machine, the Handle Applicator will apply the 6.5", 7.5" and 8.5" long handles to the interior of your cartons. A glue pattern is applied just upstream of the handle application. The unit has a bridge-type mounting that allows the unit to either move back behind the machine to be out of the way when not needed or to move out in front of the gluer for easy maintenance and access. How it works:

1. An encoder speed sensor reads the velocity of the gluer belts.
2. A photo-eye reads the position of the carton.
3. A pre-programmed offset of the handle to the lead edge of the carton will set the handle in position.
4. If a position change is necessary, the unit can be adjusted cross machine by a screw device or an electronic program change can be made to the offset, all while the machine is running.
