Roberts PolyPro to Debut GPA1600 Applicator at PACK EXPO 2026

New high-speed Grip-Pak® applicator expands options for beverage manufacturers and co-packers
CHARLOTTE, N.C., October 1, 2026 – Roberts PolyPro, a manufacturer of can and bottle multipack solutions and application systems, will introduce the new GPA1600 applicator at PACK EXPO International 2026, October 18–21 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. Visitors to Booth S-3833 will be able to see the new applicator running during the show.
Designed for high-volume beverage manufacturers and co-packers, the GPA1600 applies Grip-Pak LDPE rings at speeds up to 1,600 CPM. The system supports 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-pack formats and can be configured around can size, pack format, line layout and target production speed.
The GPA1600 expands Roberts PolyPro’s application equipment offering for producers looking to replace aging equipment or increase production capacity. It joins the GPA70 and GPA1000, extending the Grip-Pak applicator range from lower-volume operations through high-speed production.
“Our customers need reliable multipack systems that support their production today and their plans for growth,” said Michael Black, VP & General Manager at Roberts PolyPro. “The GPA1600 and our recent investment in a new LDPE extrusion line address both sides of that need. That means we can support customers with more high-speed equipment options and the ring capacity to back them up.”
In addition to Grip-Pak and the GPA applicator line, Roberts PolyPro offers Craft-Pak® and Craft-Pak® Versa can carriers, single- and multipack bottle handles, additional application equipment, and sustainable materials including PCR, recyclable and biodegradable* options. Visitors to Booth S-3833 can discuss application requirements, compare carrier and handle options, and pick up free product samples.
*Following rigorous scientific tests, an independent agency demonstrated that Roberts PolyPro LDPE and HDPE multipacking products completely biodegraded, without any false positives or false negatives, within 28 and 56 weeks, respectively. While certified biodegradable products are made of 100% recyclable materials, items accepted by recycling/composting centers can vary. Please check with your local facility to see what is accepted in your area.
